I discovered the work of the SOKO artisans while in Nairobi at one of my favorite shops. I learned there that while all the jewels are made by local artisans in Kenya, the organization that fascinates and employs the artisans is based in the USA.

SOKOis based out of San Francisco and is women-led.They created anethical jewelry brand and tech-powered manufacturing platform to connect artisans in Kenya with the global market (like you and me).

Their purpose is towork towards reducing inequality and poverty, building a healthier environment, stronger communities through the creation of high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose.
